Mrs Katie Gemmell is our acting practice manager. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice ensuring we deliver care to our patients in an efficient and effective way.
Our practice nurses see patients by appointment. They are involved in the screening programmes as well as taking blood samples, routine blood pressure checks, undertaking electrocardiograms (ECG) and cervical smears.
They can offer advice on numerous health topics including asthma, diabetes, and heart disease prevention, well woman/man checks, family planning and HRT.
It is possible to request a telephone call from the practice nurse, depending on when the request comes in you will be contacted either the same day or the following day, please try to give a landline telephone number.
All our Registered Nurses are highly experienced and have been with us for many years. They all run routine Practice Nurse Surgeries and they have all undertaken extended training and specialise in certain areas.
We have had a new nurse Becca join the team and she has been busying undergoing lots of extended training. She will work mainly out of the Simpson Centre but will occasionally cover at the Penn Surgery. She will be taking over the Child Immunisation Clinic at the Simpson Centre.

Lanie is based at the Penn Surgery and is our Practice Nurse Manager. She has undertaken Diplomas in Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Family Planning, Coronary Heart Disease and Cryotherapy.
Rose works across both sites and is further trained in Diabetes & is our Epilepsy specialist.
Penny is our lead nurse in the Baby Immunisation Programme and holds clinics at both surgeries. She is also trained in Family Planning, asthma and COPD.
Liz is our Health Care Assistant who has had extra training to undertake phlebotomy, wound care, injections and basic health screening including blood pressure measurements. She also runs the NHS Health Checks for the over 50's.
Mandi works mostly at the SC and alongside general nursing, runs a Diabetic Clinic at the SC and a Child Immunisations Clinic at the Penn Surgery.
Debbie joined the team last year and has been trained in Cervical Cytology, ear syringing, wound & leg ulcer management, Travel Health & Immunisation. She has completed the Asthma Diploma and is now seeing patients at both surgeries.
Angela, a very experienced community nurse, has joined the team as a HCA. She is helping out in the treatment rooms and assists the GP's in the Gynae/Family Planning clinics and also runs some NHS Health Check clinics.
Becca joined us last Autumn from working in the community and is now trained in general treatment room duties, including Cervical Cytology, Phlebotomy, Immunisation & Travel.
We have a team of administrative staff to deal with your enquiries and requests as efficiently as possible whilst respecting your confidentiality.
The community nurses care for patients who need nursing at home and are based at The Marlow Health Clinic. They assess individual needs and visit accordingly. They can arrange services e.g. Home care, for the disabled and elderly. New patients will require a referral.

The practice has access to an NHS physiotherapy service, based at a new treatment centre in Cressex with various satellite venues. The service aims to see patients within 20 working days.
In addition they have a Musculoskeletal Service staffed by therapists and physicians for the more complex cases.
If your problem is not covered under NHS treatment, or you wish to have a more convenient of timely service for any reason, you may choose to go privately. Your GP or our receptionists will be happy to provide you with a list of local physiotherapy services. Please contact reception in the usual way.
The health visitors facilitate health promotion and care for families, mothers and the elderly.
